Bookings and Payments
The reservation for Chilean guests is considered confirmed when a pre-payment is received (in the case of bank transfer). Before that, it is a tentative reservation and we reserve the right, after consultation with the client, to cancel it. The validity of the tentative reservation is 5 days. If payment is not received timely, it will be cancelled with no choice of any later complaint.
The deposit or pre-payment to confirm the reservation will be 50% of the overall price (for bank transfer).
Pre-Payment will be deposited to our bank account, which will be provided at the end of the pre-reservation process. Afterwards an e-mail needs to be sent with the payment information to the hotel, then the hotel will respond with the booking confirmation and details.
Foreign guests, non-resident of Chile, staying in our hotel, can be exempted from VAT/IVA according to the Tax exemption DL 825 Art.12 in the services of the hotel. The payment accepted for this tax law to be valid must be in USD dollars.
For the tax exemption to be valid, at the Check-in (at the Front Desk or online) and as a proof of your non-resident condition, you must present you passport and immigration ticket.
Extra services as activities (fishing, among others) must be paid in Chilean pesos and include VAT/IVA.
To confirm a foreign guest’s booking, we will request the Credit Card information. 15 days before the arrival we will retain 30 USD of the total booking price. The retention will be returned according to the cancellation policies or discounted to the final bill.
The deadline to send the credit card information is 5 days. If the requested information is not timely received, it will be cancelled with no choice of any later complaint.
The sent information is strictly confidential.
The reservation is booked according to the number of passengers of the group, accommodation required and facilities requested by guests, based on the hotel availability.
In case that for a set reservation, more passengers arrive to the hotel (more than expected), the hotel will try to accommodate them based on the hotel availability and they will have to pay the corresponding services used. The hotel is relieved of its responsibility for inconveniences caused to the passengers affected in these cases. If there is no availability at the hotel and the reservation group decides to leave, no refund will be made.
The pre-payment made for the concept of reservation is only mean to be used in accommodation, unless it is detail-mentioned for other services.
We accept the following payment options: Credit card, cash and bank transfer. The booking balance is paid at the Check-out in Reception.
NO REFUND will be made if the passenger decides to check out before the date that has been agreed to. Also it needs to be paid all of the services taken during the stay. The pre-payment is only for accommodation.
We do not accept Credit Card payments in promotional fares or discounted special prices.
Rates
All prices listed in Chilean pesos (CLP) include VAT.
All prices listed in US Dollars (USD) do not include VAT

Children
Children under 2 years old will be exempted of the hotel accommodation payment, only if they share a double bedroom with two adults, without the right of meals or using an extra bed. If an extra bed is needed, it will have a 15% discount of the children’s accommodation.
Children from 2 to 6 years old will have a 15% discount in their hotel accommodation. Their age needs to be verified.
To valid these discounts, make a pre-reservation based on the adult number and immediately contact our Lodge to inform the family group detail (number of children), so we can give you the final overall price.
Cancellations
To cancel a reservation, you must write an e-mail to reservas@elpangue.com or call to (056) 67 2526905/06 –(056) 67 2 325128.
For bank transfers, if the cancellation is made 60 or more days prior to the arrival date, we return 90% of the payment; between 59 and 30 days before to the arrival date, the refund is 50% of the payment; less than 29 days before the arrival date, no refund will be made.
For credit card reservations made by foreign guests, if the cancellation is made 15 or more days prior to the arrival date, there is a 30 USD charge.
CANCELLATIONS FOR COVID-19 (verifiable)- Bank transfer
- Cancellations with 10 days or more before the arrival date: no charge.
- Cancellations between 9 to 5 days before the arrival date: 50% of the total reservation amount charge.
- Cancellations between 4 days and 0 before the arrival date: 100% of the total reservation amount charge.
- No show, no refund.
COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS (verifiable) -Credit Card:
- With 10 days or more before the arrival date, no charge.
- With 9 days or less bedore the arrival date, 30 USD charge.
Modifications
Modifications can be made until 60 days before the arrival of the passenger, and they will be made according the hotel availability.
No shows with any advance notice will have the reservation held until 12:00 (noon) of the next day. Afterwards, the hotel will assume the cancellation for the rest of the reservation days and will be able to open the availability for that room/cabin.
If you have made a reservation with your credit card, and do not arrive the first day, you will lose the rest of the reservation days and one night stay will be charged.
If the passenger arrives after the arrival date without any previous notice, the reservation might be valid depending on the hotel availability; and the Lodge will charge one night stay, otherwise, the passenger will lose the whole reservation without a refund if no arrangements can be made for the delayed passengers.
In case of force majeure, own or third parties involved, that affect directly to El Pangue Lodge, as: road cuts, transportation issues like flight, bus or ferry itineraries, accidents, fire, strike, nature risks, etc, services and/or the reservation date will try to be modified based on the availability of the hotel.
No Show
No show, no refund.

Activities
Activities in a determined program may vary for different external causes. If it is impossible to re-schedule it, it can be replaced for another activity of the same cost.
The different activities have different kinds of difficulty, danger or physical effort. The guest’s health should be taken into consideration. If we consider the guest is not physically able to perform it, we will suggest another activity more suitable. If the passenger insists, he/she will have to sign a letter which releases the hotel from all liability, and he/she acknowledges the dangers of the activity.
Passengers will have to sign a responsibility document for all the activities classify as “high risk”.
We are allowed to deny the access to the Risopatrón Lake throughout our facilities.
The dock it is only for the hotel passengers’ usage.
Damage and/or Destruction
In the event that any furniture, article and/or similar property of the Lodge suffers damage, destruction or vandalism, it will be deducted from the client's account.
Pets
No kind of pets are allowed in our facilities.
